Projects

“Of all of our inventions for mass communication, pictures still speak the most universally understood language.”

-Walt Disney

Each of these projects was cohesive in color and function when delivered to the customer. Sometimes customers will make updates to their website after delivery and those pages may look as if they don’t belong because the page is white, the spacing is wrong, etc.

If you come across these issues on any of these sites, please know that my clients have a standing invitation for me to make easy changes free of charge. Any mistakes you may see … Well, those are because someone didn’t take me up on my offer.

Nonprofit

I enjoyed working with Crisis Services of North Alabama. Their site has a lot of moving parts … Training registrations, e-commerce, ability to accept donations, volunteer opportunities and safety integrations. It was essential for me to make this site panic proof for those who navigate to CSNA in crisis mode, and to write with empathy and care.

New Start UpLampstand Labs has a unique approach to coaching cycling and racing. It’s founder believes in integrating the mind, heart and soul of every person to help each client reach their potential. This was a new start up, so there weren’t any communication platforms to knit together … Everything was built from the ground up, including all of the text and photos. The other component was marketing this new coaching & racing organization … Navigating sponsorships, marketing ideas and e-commerce opportunities.

Local Business

City Lumber is a longtime partner in North Alabama’s building industry. They have a history rooted in family and partnerships within the community. I also suggested they offer a Community Grant to vet the organizations who approach them for financial support & it was wonderful to integrate that idea into this site.

National Business

Master Applied Coatings is an industry leader in RV, Boat and Automotive ceramic glass coatings. With locations in California and Florida, I not only had the privilege of writing and designing their website, but I also have recently begun to handle their marketing.

Local Nonprofit

This site is near & dear to my heart. I’m a cyclist and runner who loves to spend time on the trails. HAMR needed to be retooled & begin utilizing e-commerce for registration, and they needed to integrate a few options that are available to them as a nonprofit. On this one, I did kinda need to reinvent the wheel for them.

Regional Business

This site was an absolute BLAST to write and design. The owners gave me the details and and then cut me loose to create a website unlike any other I’ve seen for outdoor recreation. I wanted my writing and words to not only provide info, but I wanted it to be the kind of site where someone could visit and dream about their potential.

Independent National Nonprofit

Working within the branding guidelines of a independently incorporated national nonprofit doesn’t mean that a design needs to be cookie cutter. The trick is to merge national requirements with the essence of the community being served to create a site that feels like home.

Creating Video.

Of course, Walt Disney was right …. Pictures draw people into your passion. It gives them a front row seat to what moves you, and that moves them to take action.

When a video is needed I can write a script with nuance and bring your mission to life.

Community

Clare Purinton and her husband, Dave, came to Huntsville, Alabama in 1992 and began raising their family. Both Clare & Dave have served on nonprofit boards internationally and within their community. Having a solid reputation isn’t something they believe can be manufactured. It takes time to build a consistent track record of follow through.

Professionalism & Creativity.

“My experience with Clare has been absolutely wonderful! She takes the time to study the organization to get to know the heartbeat of its mission and purpose.  Her professionalism and creativity goes above and beyond expectations.  We now have a website that speaks to the heart and provides incredible functionality. She has been a blessing!”

-Tammie Berzett, Therapy Partners Board President

Sharing the Vision.

“When I started my new business I knew I would need a website, domain name, web host, complete design and E-Commerce. I didn’t know anything about any of it. Without Clare’s help I would have been paralyzed. Turns out, I didn’t need to know any of that stuff.  With a few conversations my website was up and running.  Clare was able to coax out of me all she needed to make a website that fit my vision and feels like me (only more creative and with better grammar).  Thank you Clare for removing the fear.”

Listening to Needs.

“Graces of Gurley is a small non-profit run mostly by volunteers. While working very hard to meet the needs of our community, we’ve struggled in the area of marketing and administration. We knew we needed the help of a professional. I met with Clare for a couple of hours one morning, and by that afternoon she had a plan in place for us. She gave suggestions for everything from marketing to managing and training our volunteers. I was amazed at how fast she works and how fast I was able to implement some of the ideas myself - with just a little instruction. Thanks to Clare, we are communicating with our volunteers and donors more effectively and operating more efficiently. God sent Clare to us at the perfect time!”

— Denise Howard, Executive Director Graces of Gurley
